Welcome to this week’s chat corner!
Optional chat prompt
If you don’t have your own topic to talk about, the optional prompt for this week is the movie “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith”, AKA the most depressing one.
I think that means we’ve covered all of the Prequel Trilogy now, so maybe a secondary prompt (subprompt?) might be the trilogy as a whole, if you have any Thoughts On The Matter.

Date: 2021-08-16 08:49 pm (UTC)I only watched this two years ago because I was already so put off by the earlier films. But while I found the opening with the aerial battle to be quite good, I had watched Clone Wars by then and felt everything in the film paled compared to the overall character development in that show. It was kind of a connect-the-dots plot in which everything happened because it needed to happen and not because it made much sense.

Date: 2021-08-16 05:22 am (UTC)The Dark Side post, for your ranting needs, exists as usual.
Although I'm seriously considering not making those anymore, given how little use that feature has gotten in the last 3 months. Not that I'm that upset that people don't need a space to be angry about things, but perhaps something less spammy might work better and still allow for some contained rantage if needed.
Maybe I could do one permanent Dark Side post and start a new thread in the comments every time. Hmm, shall ponder.

Date: 2021-08-19 05:35 pm (UTC)I 100% respect that reasoning :D I'm the same with Phantom Menace, honestly - and I haven't even seen it in the cinema! SW just does "impressive moment" really well.
So this is how liberty dies, with thunderous applause.
