Welcome to the Monday chat corner.

The topic of this week is the movie Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, the last film of the Original Trilogy.

It's interesting to consider, that the Return of the Jedi, having come out in 1983, has been "the last Star Wars movie" for sixteen years. The Revenge of the Sith has been "the last one" for ten years, and The Rise of Skywalker is now five years old.

In retrospect, what do you think about that trajectory? Or if you're (un)lucky to have been a fan during one or both of those gaps, how did it feel back then? And how are you feeling about that last stretch?

Welcome to the Monday chat corner!

Our topic this week is the movie "Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back".

If you were to choose one scene in this movie to do differently - plot-wise, in the dialog, camera, cutting it altogether - which one would it be?

Or the other way around: what scene would you add?

Welcome to the Monday chat corner!

This week, the topic is the movie The Empire Strikes Back, aka the middle part of the Original Trilogy.

Sometimes, the middle parts of trilogies are perceived as the awkward, boring part: the slow slog where nothing gets resolved. Do you think this applies to ESB? And if not, what do you think saves it from that fate?

Welcome to the Monday chat corner!

This week, the topic is the movie Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, aka The First One. Is there something you’d like to chat about? New idea, old idea, interesting tidbit or piece of gossip…?

Welcome to the Monday chat corner!

This week it’s time to talk about “Star Wars: Return of the Jedi”, the last movie of the Original Trilogy. What do you think? Or maybe you’d like to check what we’ve said last year. Anyway, the floor is yours.

Welcome to the Monday chat corner!

This week we’re set to talk about Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, aka Episode V, aka the one with the hand and the carbonite and the OG green gremlin. (So many iconic scenes in this one movie!)

What do you think?

Welcome to the Monday chat corner!

This week we’re back to the olden times with “Star Wars: A New Hope” (which I suspect I don’t need to introduce).

Any new, old, or never-ending thoughts about the movie? There has been some new canon introduced since last year: Obi-Wan Kenobi, Andor. Does it change the way you see the story?

Optional prompt

The topic for this week, by previous request, is “Splinter of the Mind’s Eye”, the very first Expanded Universe novel - it was published less than a year after the release of the first movie!

Have you read it? Would you recommend it?

Welcome to this week’s chat corner!

Optional prompt

This week, the topic is “Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back”. Second movie of the original trilogy, the one with the ~big reveal~ (and wampa entrails, and Yoda, and Lando, and space slugs).

What are your thoughts?

Welcome to this week’s chat corner!

Optional prompt

This week’s topic, should you accept it, is “Star Wars: A New Hope”. The very beginning of everything!

Have you seen it? (I think it’s perfectly possible to be a SW fan without seeing the OT, for the record!) Was it your first SW? What made you watch it? How old were you?

…did you like it? Do you like it now, if your first watch was a long time ago?

Optional chat prompt

If you don’t have your own topic to talk about, the optional prompt for this week is the movie “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith”, AKA the most depressing one.

I think that means we’ve covered all of the Prequel Trilogy now, so maybe a secondary prompt (subprompt?) might be the trilogy as a whole, if you have any Thoughts On The Matter.
