we're coming up on one year post-the acolyte, does anyone have any thoughts? my hot take is that its basically the "enterprise" of star wars, but instead of getting 100 episodes to find its footing it got eight. rip
Wait, can I get more explanation for that? Because that sounds intriguing. (I know very little of Star Trek.)
My main impression of Acolyte is still how everyone kept talking about it being a romance show for the Reylos, but the actual show having almost no romance at all (and certainly zero chemistry between the "main ship"). What have I watched?
I really don't regret it being cancelled, but it does feel like its lack of success (real or perceived by the execs) has killed any chance of more shows set in the High Republic era, and that I do regret. I liked how fresh it felt.
Ditto on that. I was very excited to get a story from this period. Was less enthralled with the story we got, especially given that I thought it was a good cast.
