Welcome to the Monday chat corner!
This week is general topic week, and our discussion topic is "seasons" of any kind. Seasons of the year, TV show seasons, social seasons, fashion seasons, or maybe even food seasoning if you want to stretch it!

Date: 2024-09-02 06:29 pm (UTC)I'm conflicted about it, but I sort of miss the "Christmas is Star Wars season" thing Disney did with the Sequels and other SW movies. I had time to go to the movies over Christmas break, and it felt a bit like a present. It was nice.
Although I'm glad they're not putting out a SW movie every year the way they've threatened in the start.

Date: 2024-09-06 08:43 pm (UTC)Huh. I haven't noticed it either, but I see it. Hoth is cold, Tatooine is hot, Naboo has permanent spring/summer.
Although, Uncle Owen and Luke do talk about seasons in Ep IV! Harvest season, at least. I've done some worldbuilding gymnastics trying to figure out why exactly would a moisture farm on a desert planet have harvests...
(My explanation is "water containers have finite sizes" and "regular tax collection might result in regular selling of water before the date of said collection", for the record.)
