For this week’s Legends topic, lets do Timothy Zahn’s “The Thrawn Trilogy” - which is not, as I have mistakenly believed, the same thing as The Hand of Thrawn Duology. Sigh.

That said, feel free to discuss that one too, as well as any other Thrawn-flavored SW content - It’s an optional chat prompt, after all.

Anyway! What are your thoughts? Yes? No? Any fic recs?

I feel fairly certain I read this some time ago but unfortunately have no memory of it. I will say though that I was delighted to see Thrawn turn up in SW Rebels.

I've read it so long ago that I only have rough outline of the story and a handful of fuzzy scene recollections, myself. But I do remember it fondly... although there might be some nostalgia goggles involved as well.

I’m late to the party. I enjoyed reading the Thrawn Trilogy. Mara Jade became my favorite character from the trilogy.

Now I’m halfway through Specter of the Past. So far, its fun! I’m past the part where Mara rescues Luke from space pirates. Before that, Luke ate some ribs. Incredible!

I've read the trilogy about 15 years ago (...oof), so my memories are a bit fuzzy, but I remember enjoying it quite a bit. I know I liked Leia in it (possibly because she gets to do Jedi stuff?), and the Force-sensitive cat-like things...? Oh lol, I really do not remember the details.

I thought the whole cloning plot was ridiculous, though. And come on, IT IS.

(fleurviolette I haven't written that "Luke's hand road trip" crack fic yet, but I'm still sorely tempted! XD)

I’d be interested in reading that. What really happened to Luke’s hand??? Lol
