One Fear: the shows tie into the Disney sequel trilogy

I am more nervous than I'd like to admit about the possibility that a deepfake Han is going to show up with a baby Ben and drop him off at Luke's if Grogu decides to leave :/

What did Marcia Lucas say? Her whole story is completely fascinating. I hate the way LF has written her out of history. She won a damn Oscar!

She basically criticized Disney for misunderstanding Star Wars. Regarding the disney sequels, they got rid of the original characters and the story made no sense. When you have the original editor of Star Wars criticizing the current stuff, they should know they messed up big time.

She also criticized the prequels over some narrative choices like why make Anakin a kid instead of him being the same age as Padme in PTM.

Even though Grogu has a huge choice to make, there can be other ways to possibly show if the Mandoverse takes place in a separate timeline like Leia talking to Luke via comm that she’s expecting twins or the stinger could be after Grogu chooses Yoda’s lightsaber, while training, Mara Jade storms in. A girl can dream lol.

I knew I loved her. I feel ashamed that I really didn't know what a highly regarded film editor she was until I read George Lucas: A Life.

Sorry for the late response. Just wanted to add my thoughts on the leaked Disney Star Wars hotel videos.

It looks terrible and definitely not worth 6k. Originally Galaxy’s Edge was supposed to be immersive but it isn’t. Instead was put behind an extremely overpriced paywall that is the hotel. The concept of the galactic Star cruiser doesn’t feel like Star Wars at all. It looks low budget and generic.

Yup! You’re right. It’s exactly what it is, minus the original trilogy and prequel characters. Barely recognizable. I think Disney built it for rich people who think Star Wars is a brand, not really for fans.

You’d be surprised but people have cancelled their bookings once they saw the videos. Yikes this was planned poorly from the start. They should have just gone with a classic Star Wars land or something recognizable at least. And at a fraction of that price too.

It sounds like a total disaster! I'll have to look up some videos. I wouldn't mind seeing the Millennium Falcon, though. Is this at Disney in CA? (I never remember which is which.) Have you been to the park?

Ah, Galaxy’s edge is in Disneyland in CA and Disneyworld in Florida. The hotel is in Disneyworld, tho.

I’ve been to Disneyland before, but the last time I was there, Galaxy’s Edge was not yet built. Personally I’m still fond of Star Tours lol

I went to Disneyland more than several times when I was a kid. The Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain, Star Tours, Indiana Jones Adventure, POTC, and the Peter Pan were my favorite rides.

Disney’s California Adventure is also fun too. I miss the Tower of Terror, tho.

Oh, I didn't realize there was an Indiana Jones part, too! I'm going to CA for work in the next couple of months and I hope I have the chance to make a stop!
