i'm watching! i'm not really in love with where they've taken their female characters. the show itself is not as apocalyptically bad as tumblr makes it out to be or as transcendentally good as my film bros say. the three-episodes-per-year compressed format really kneecaps some elements, but having it be a bit slice-of-life helps others.

Yeah, I’ve only watched through to episode six but I’m feeling a bit this way as well. Between how they’ve treated Cinta and how they’ve treated Bix, I’m finding it hard to muster up much excitement about the rest of the show.

But on the other hand I DO really enjoy the worldbuilding, and especially the building out of how the Empire works on the political and administrative levels - so I’m sure I’ll get around to watching the rest sooner or later. I probably just need to wait a while for the foul taste of YET ANOTHER dead TV lesbian to fade out of my mouth. :/
