Chat corner 160: Tales of the Empire

The topic for this week is "Star Wars: Tales of the Empire", the recently aired animated miniseries - or, technically, the second season to Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi.

So, have you seen the series? If yes, did you like it, and would you recommend it? If not, are you planning to?

I'm tentatively interested, but first I'd have to watch Tales of the Jedi... but I ought to finish the last season of The Mandalorian first... only I'm never in the mood for that... and since it's a todo list item now, I will never be in the mood again. So now I'm stuck like five series behind everyone, looking like this:

Hell of my own making, etc etc.

You don't need to finish The Mandalorian.

You can watch the shows in any order you like, it's going to be fine.
Tales of the Jedi is good as a standalone.
Tales of the Empire wants you to watch The Clone Wars, Mando S2, and Ahsoka.

As someone who has done the homework, you can skip Tales of the Empire and miss nothing. If you are a clone wars stan, you can enjoy the Barriss episodes and skip the Morgan ones altogether.

Even so, I still absolve you of Mandalorian S3. Please go enjoy other Star Wars and it will be there if you ever feel it

*hugs* You know what? I'll take that. How much does Tales of the Empire expect me to know Ahsoka? Am I getting spoiled? I haven't seen that one, either.

I don't think so. It gives you background on a character but that's it

I have watched it and I enjoyed it. To me, it's definitely geared specifically for SW fans as you'd have to have watched Clone Wars for it to have much meaning. Probably the Mandalorian too.
