Welcome to the Monday chat corner!

Did you know that there have been radio adaptations of all three movies of the original trilogy? The first two were produced in 1981 and 1983, but for the last one the listeners had to wait until 1996.

I don't really expect that anyone here has heard them, but if you did, please share! For the rest of us: would you be interested in it? Or, to widen the topic a bit, what about other audio-based and SW-related content: do you listen to SW audio books or podcasts?

I listened to ANH that way a few years ago: it was actually pretty great, because they hired a legit SF writer (Brian Daly) to write the scripts, and he filled a bunch of plot holes and loose characterization while he was doing it. It made a big difference.

I have not listened to the radio show, but I have listened to the full cast audio recording of William Shakespeare's Star Wars.

I never knew about them but my partner did and heard the Star Wars recordings before ever seeing the movie. Fascinating to see who showed up in the cast there such as Adam Arkin, Ed Begley Jr., and David Paymer. I'd like to hear those sometime.
