There's no convenient list of "children books" on Wookieepedia (that I know of), but you can filter them out on the timelines of Legends media and Canon media, here's all the Golden Books (there have been Scratch and Sniff SW books???), and here's a list of Disney canon young-reader novels.
Have you read a SW book as a kid? Have you bought one for your own kids or a relative? Which SW stories do you think are a great children book material, and which definitely aren't? Including fanfic - I mean, the porn is obviously off the table, but some of the more original AUs...

Date: 2024-04-02 12:57 am (UTC)Oh man, this is giving me flashbacks to the Young Jedi Knights and Junior Jedi Knights series from Legends, which were basically "Luke Skywalker is the best uncle", "wow, things keep happening to these kids" and "Yavin 4 is a dangerous place, actually". I enjoyed them when they came out, and I was delighted to see that they still hold up pretty well when I re-read them a few years ago.
The tag line for the Young Jedi Knights series--"When the Galactic Empire died, they were born—a new hope for the New Republic"--gives me chills every time. My favorite volume is Lightsabers, which deals with Jacen, Jaina, and their friends constructing their own lightsabers, followed by Shadow Academy, which introduces a rival school for dark Jedi run by one of Luke's former students.
