IDK if anyone's playing Star Wars: The Old Republic, but I started in January and figured I should link my posts here. I've done the Sith Inquisitor, Jedi Knight, Imperial Agent, and Smuggler class stories; my Inquisitor is caught up on ... well, they're releasing a new story patch today, but everything else, and my Knight's gone to everything through Shadow of Revan. Feel free to chat about anything in here, either based on a linked post or just "what did you think about that bit in X story?"

Oh, cool! That's the same continuity as the old "Knights of the Republic" BioWare games, right? I'm playing the first one atm, actually. (Err,sort of. Me and my shitty attention span...)

Same continuity, set about 400 years after the KOTOR games, IIRC? I prefer to think of them as their own things, though, since SWTOR does some things with Revan that I don't really agree with.

Congrats on KOTOR-ing! How far are you? Have you gotten off Taris yet?

Oh, yeah! I've just found the star map on Manaan, now I'm puttering around trying to figure out if I need/want to finish some of the side quests before I leave.

I have... the star map from Dantooine, Tatooine, and now Manaan. I just opened the Wookieepedia page for it and it says the third star map is supposed to be Kashyyk, which I haven't done yet. Oops?

Do you know how much it matters whether you play the minigames (racing, that dang card game)? I mostly avoid it because it bores me, but last time I skipped what I thought was optional content in a BioWare game, I got stuck at the final boss fight with Saren in Mass Effect I and never finished the game because of that. *dreath grin*

You can do Tatooine, Manaan, Kashyyk, and Korriban in any order! You might've locked yourself out of some companion quests, maybe, but those are 100% optional and hard to trigger. The minigames are completely optional and are basically just a way of getting more credits – it's apparently possible to run out of credits if you're playing light side, but I never had that problem in my playthrough.

Awesome, thanks. I'm playing Light Side, but so far I had no problem with money. Hopefully it'll stay that way. Gamer gods protect me from stupid grinding, I am just a simple role-player in foreign waters. XD
