I just found out than the latest episode of Ahsoka was screened in some theaters. This seemed really odd to me -- first of all, screening a show already available on streaming, and secondly not even the first episode or the finale but a mid-season episode?

Has anyone gone to a screening?

I hadn't heard about that before, so I looked it up--it seems to be a publicity event to build hype for the show and get people excited. That makes me wonder if they were trying to indirectly boost the streaming numbers somehow because that's the metric they use for revenue/success. I agree it seems odd, and I've never encountered anything quite like it before.

Watched Kenobi and was underwhelmed. Thoughts here on my journal.
