Chat corner 124: Crucible

Welcome to the Monday chat corner!

For this week, I looked at Wookieepedia’s Timeline of Legends Media and found the in-universe chronologically latest novel: Crucible, set in 45 ABY. It came out in 2014, making it also one of the last published Expanded Universe novels.

Has anyone here read it, and do you have something to say about it? If not, I have also found an article about last EU stories published, which might be of interest.

Re: the last stories in Legends – I did not know about, and am sort of amused by, the repurposing of Heir to the Jedi, the final novel in the Leia/Han/Luke no-longer-a-trilogy. “Right! Total continuity reset. We’re starting fresh. Square one. Wait, no, hang on, we’ve still got this perfectly good manuscript.” Though it’s nice that the author at least got to see it in print in some form.

Haven't read it but thanks to the link about the last EU stories. It's interesting to see what was being worked on.
