I was doing the crossword in this week’s New Yorker and laughed out loud at this particular clue (four letters):

59 Across: Stuff that Anakin Skywalker doesn’t like because it’s “coarse and rough and irritating”

He’s never living that down, is he.

Spurred by havendale's comment, I wanted to ask if Star Wars word puzzles, crosswords etc. exist anywhere?

I’d like to know as well! The activity books released post-ANH did include some crosswords along with other puzzles — I wonder if there’s been anything since?

In case anyone is longing to do X-wing- or Death Star-shaped crosswords, Luke Skywalker’s Activity Book has two puzzles (the first one is scanned here and here, the second one here and here), and Darth Vader’s Activity Book has one (available to borrow from the Internet Archive).
