Disney will be releasing the original Star Wars theatrical cut from the 1970s in theaters for the 50th anniversary in 2027. The special editions coming out in theater (especially with Drew Struzan's posters) was what originally kickstarted my interest in Star Wars, so it's fascinating that it's coming full circle again. I guess the general consensus now is "don't mess with a classic".

Still a few weeks away but I'm looking forward to hauling out the jigsaw puzzles for Christmas, and I have some Star Wars ones to try out.

Wondering if anyone else has Star Wars related holiday plans?

It's the original cut?! I'd heard the rerelease was coming but not which version. Wow!

Cool! As I'm "that person" who complains every time they're forced to watch that ridiculous scene with Jabba in Docking Bay 94, I'll be very pleased to take my son to see the unsullied version. YMMV *g*
