I have some thoughts about the latest episode of The Mandalorian.

The Ahsoka show has some potential to be good, it’s just not the same as the original Heir to the Empire.

I heard the announcement for the new movie about Rey, and my thought process went something like this:

1) Aww, yeah, Rey, I like her! Good for Daisy Ridley. Not the direction I thought they were going to go, but I'll take it.

2) But wait... they're giving her what should have been Luke's storyline (rebuilding the Jedi Order), OW MY HEART.

3) Okay, well, looks like I might get my Jedi Academy series after all, just not the one I hoped for...

4) Are Finn and Poe going to be in this? Somehow, I can't imagine Oscar Isaac or John Boyega returning based on some of their interviews post-TROS, but you never know...

5) Given Disney's track record with announcing movies and then canceling them, we'll see if this one actually happens, I guess?

Yeah, I heard about this on Reddit, and they were pretty much 2 with a side of 5!

I just learned about this today! On one hand, I know it's not very likely to be good good, but on the other, more Rey!!!

That said, I absolutely don't understand the title choice. I mean, this is very unlikely to have anything in common with the EU New Jedi Order, right? It's gonna be the same thing as the new Tales of the Jedi, a completely new story that just reuses the branding. Which... what? What is that good for? I mean obviously it's good for something, but what? SEO? Trying to wipe out the EU even more than they've already did? Argh, I want to know!

Hahahaha, I didn't realize "New Jedi Order" was also the official title--that is going to make tagging on Tumblr an absolute nightmare!

I was going to say I don't think they'd adapt the Legends New Jedi Order, if only because it's a lot for one movie, and most of the OT characters are dead, but then I didn't expect TROS to draw so heavily on Dark Empire, so who knows?

Yikes! It’s like they gave away Luke’s story in the EU to Rey. 😒 I’m not going to see that movie.

It's so disappointing! Why are they doubling down on Luke's character assassination?
