Chat corner 191: Jokes and humor

Hi!

This week, the topic is "jokes and humor", any way you'd like to interpret it.

What's your favorite joke or funny scene in SW? Which movie (or other piece of media) you consider funniest?

Does SW fit your sense of humor - and if not, what would you like to see?

Bring your memes! Do you have a favorite? (something something high ground...)

I don't know if it's my favorite humor bit but it was the first one that sprang to mind because on rewatching TFA, I laughed again at it. "The garbage will do."

"Let's just say they might recognize my face." Clone humour is always peak for me. That's the only joke Boba Fett knows and it's also the only joke he needs.

Natalie’s Rap 2.0. Crass. Hilarious and a bit vindicated given the current prequels appreciation, especially with the 20th anniversary of RotS this year.

I wonder if anyone’s done an analysis re: the use of humour as a sign of wisdom/maturity in the OT? The bit that immediately sprang to mind was Yoda’s first meeting with Luke on Dagobah, and how Yoda’s playfulness contrasts with Luke’s self-seriousness and single-mindedness.
