Chat corner 35: Weapons

Optional prompt

This week’s topic is “weapons”. Star Wars has a good amount of iconic weapons, from the personal to the planet-killing. Some of them are iconic even in general culture (“that’s no moon”), others… less so (the embarrassingly long list of “Death Star but bigger” from the SW books).

Definitely lightsabers! They make me want to learn how to fence :p

I have to admit Ahsoka's double lightsabers were a revelation on The Mandalorian (I haven't seen Clone Wars yet). SO COOL.

If I had a lightsaber prop I'd just spin it around making lightsaber noises. Apparently this was a problem with the actors too, lol.

Ahsoka starts out with a single lightsaber but picks up her second one a season or so into TCW, and continues dual-wielding all the way through Rebels. TCW has at least one other regular dual wielder, and of course General Grievous with his four lightsabers.

I need to watch TCW, at least for Ahsoka, which I've heard are the best parts. She was so great on Mandalorian!
