This week’s topic is “weapons”. Star Wars has a good amount of iconic weapons, from the personal to the planet-killing. Some of them are iconic even in general culture (“that’s no moon”), others… less so (the embarrassingly long list of “Death Star but bigger” from the SW books).

Ooh, saberstaves! I like those as well, and I have just rolled a MMO character who can use them. The default one is hip-mounted, but I might check if the in-game auction house has some nice back-mounted ones for affordable prices. (SWTOR has no physics for the lightsabers etc. For the default saberstaff, it's manageable, but the longer ones look stupid.) Which MMO, and which ones have you acquired?

I’m talking about SWTOR too and wish they showed the staffs more love or at least got cutscenes to work right with them. Seriously the amount of times my Shadow would have stabbed herself is ridiculous...
Agreed on size issues especially because my characters are all Body Type 1 but the back mounted ones sit weird on some species or look bad with certain armour sets and hairstyles because it sits more on your shoulder than back so I wish they slung across the back diagonally. All the new ones released now are back mounted too which makes me less likely to buy them :(

This looks nice with a cyan crystal, you can find cheaper non-mod versions to use when the Weapons Outfit Designer drops with 7.0 so I’d grab them and wait.

My Sentinel seemed to forget her second saber in every cutscene; I am not surprised that Shadows/Assassins would forget to light the second half of their saberstaff or stab themselves.

I wish they slung across the back diagonally.
Ooh, there's an idea! It probably wouldn't work that well with Togruta and Nautolans, though. Perhaps they could do something similar to the robes that have hood up and hood down versions, and give multiple weapons with different holstering options? 2-3 of back (vertical), back (diagonal), and hip?

Thank you for the recs! I'll look at the Derelict Saberstaff and Vindicator's Saberstaff and see how they sit on my BT2 Shadow.
